From Olympic athletes to baseball, basketball and football players, this city is indeed more than a hotbed of talent.
Because we have had the opportunity during the spring, summer and into the season to see as many football players as possible, we have the opportunity to see talent that many do not find about for a period of time.
In south Florida, there are always prospects who continue to shine and grab a share of the spotlight – and that is something that has been true for decades.
Week 2 will be remembered for the way that three of the top four programs in south Florida, lost – and in the process – have teams moving up and down and all around the second week of the Top 20.
No. 1 St. Thomas Aquinas and No. 2 Miami Central along with No. 4 Chaminade-Madonna went down and changed the entire landscape of this week’s South Florida Top 20.
Where do we start?
Well, how about five of the top six teams in south Florida going down? That is the place that we will look back at.
There is no doubt that there are some good games in south Florida in Week 2, but things are starting to feel a lot like 2020.
