Transfer Season Heats Up In Miami-Dade & Broward

Every year, the numbers are staggering, and it appears that once again, south Florida will be in the spotlight.

While many across Miami-Dade and Broward County boast about the number of football transfers in the two counties, fans across the state – and the nation are blown away at the sheer numbers who come and go.

This year, coaching changes have contributed to the total, but it still has many shaking their collective heads at the comings and goings.

While we attempt to keep track of ALL the transfers because of our extensive database that we have where college coaches are checking in daily, we have missed many who slid under the radar.

In looking over this transfer list, if you see anyone who isn’t there or perhaps at the wrong school, please drop us an E-Mail (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) so we can make the change. (DO NOT POST)!!! It’s all about getting it right so are young men can be looked at and recruited.

The schools in CAPS are the schools they are attending now!

THANKS TO HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS, COACHES, SUPPORTERS AND PARENTS FOR SENDING US THESE. COLLEGE COACHES NEED TO KNOW ABOUT EVERY CHANGE – AND THIS HELPS.

For the past 53 years, we have spent plenty of time on football fields than anyone in the country. From games to practices, camps, combines and 7-on-7 events, we get to as many events as possible to see the athletes LIVE. 5 Miami-Dade & Broward 5 Prospects Who Turned Heads

We have hit the summer and as prospects from throughout Miami-Dade and Broward Counties head off to camps and 7-on-7 events at colleges and universities throughout the country, several athletes will continue to make headlines.

While the past month gave several football players in this area a chance to establish themselves in front of college coaches, there were others who jumped onto the radar for the first time.

The one thing we know when evaluating talent for colleges to see, they want people who are out in the field attending everything possible. In this day and age, colleges don’t want to know whether a prospect can run, throw, block or tackle. What they rely on recruiting services and “super fans” is things they cannot see from the film.

Being at games, practices and as many camps as possible gives us an advantage, so when a college coach wants to know more than the X’s and O’s, they can find out things like character, leadership and attitude. Those three things can ruin a program – or elevate it, and when they are spending huge money on scholarships on these young men, they have to know everything possible.

Being a talent evaluator in this day and age is really not the art it used to be. Regular fans can see the obvious, but true “scouts” can see those important things that every college program and every business need to know about.

As you will see during the summer, we attend everything, so by the time the season begins, we will have watched just about everyone in south Florida and nearly 4,000 prospects and 250 schools live.

Today, we continue our look at some Miami-Dade and Broward County football players who made an impact this spring.

2025 – Dante Alexander Jr., Athlete, 6-3, 205, Miami Springs. In the world of recruiting and social media, keeping anyone with talent under wraps is no longer possible. There are too many eyes and avenues to get student/athletes in the spotlight. Here is yet another Golden Hawk who had a tremendous sophomore year, but really blew up this spring when college coaches and opponents had the chance to see him perform. From either side of the ball, his ability to make plays and change the outcome of games with just one play became more evident this off-season. Will be a player that you will want to follow this coming season.

2024 – Raynor Andrews, OT, 6-6, 315, Miami Norland. Here is a young man that brings so much to the table as a student/athlete. After playing for Miami Jackson a year ago, he brought his talents to play for the Vikings, and make no mistake, this is someone who really has a chance to be special. Not only is he still a work in progress, but he is a very smart young man, who picks things up quickly and will be a huge asset to a team that many are predicting some huge things from this season.

2026 – Derrek Cooper, RB/Athlete, 6-0, 180, Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons. We very rarely make boastful comments about high school football players, especially is they are young, but you heard it here first. This is the next potential superstar in south Florida. Size, power, athleticism, versatility, and speed. Did we mention speed! This three-sport athlete can run the ball – with his power, ability to read where the hole will open and enough speed to run away from the defenses and he is just going to be a sophomore. Coaches on the high school team and in the community feel that when this impressive young man blows up, he will be a national recruit.

2025 – Shawn Paschall Jr., RB, 5-8, 175, Deerfield Beach. While this program goes through a transition period, let’s not forget that the Bucks have long been a program that is loaded with talent, and this hidden gem has the opportunity to be very special. Watching him over the past year, there is no doubt that he will showcase some amazing skills this coming season, He is quick, powerful and has tremendous vision. During the Spring Jamboree at Palm Beach Gardens, this is one of those talented young men who turned heads and college coaches finally had the chance to see how special he is. Keep an eye on him this coming season, you will see why many are starting to believe that he is one of the top juniors in south Florida.

Adrian Posse, QB, 6-5, 228, Miami Northwestern. Let’s be honest. Since he left Miami Monsignor Pace two years ago, this was someone who was tough to evaluate and rank. His lack of playing time had many second guessing what they watched his freshman year when he was surrounded by solid football talent and coaching. Last Saturday, during the Bulls’ spring scrimmage – with Teddy Bridgewater and first year head coach Michaelee Harris looking on, this young man was impressive. He made the throws and led the offense in a new system with new teammates around him. Obviously, his size and arm strength have been things that everyone has been watching, but what impressed the most was his accuracy and ability to make decisions. That combination will help to left this offense in 2023.

EYE ON RECRUITING: Is Western Ready To Make A Run At 4M Title?

They have been one of the top public school football programs in Broward County for several years, and while they have district titles and impressive talent to show for their efforts, head coach Adam Ratkevich and his Davie Western Wildcats have not gotten over that hump.

As spring is officially over, attention is being paid to the upcoming season, where many 4A schools are being talked about as programs that have a chance to win it all. Deep in that conversation are the Wildcats who check all the boxes.

Can this program finally get by the gauntlet in south Florida and win a school’s first ever state football title?

While the answer is yes, there are many obstacles that Coach Ratkevich, his coaching staff and gifted team must hurdle this coming season, but things are certainly in place for the program to have its finest hour.

If you have followed us long enough, you already know that very few promote EVERY Miami-Dade and Broward County programs year-round like we have been fortunate to have done for many decades.

With that in mind, colleges coaches from Hawaii to Maine and every in between keep an eye on what we produce.

We have never been in this to sell subscriptions. With that said – and you know what we do and why we are here 365 days a year going to events, practices, camps, combines, and games and NOT sitting behind a computer – we will spend this off-season getting everyone promoted.

For over a half century, we have been honored to help football prospects across the state of Florida get some well-deserved recognition.

Today we bring you a look at a team that starts in the Top 10 in south Florida and are expected to stay in the spotlight – with a challenging schedule that begins at home on August 24th at home against Georgia powerhouse Milton as part of the Broward County Football Showcase.

5 Spring Prospects In Miami-Dade & Broward Counties.

Well, spring football officially comes to an end today.

The past month has been a time when college coaches have had ample time to watch current football players as well as those who are trying to jump on the radar screen for the future.

The month of May has been a time when colleges and universities have put the final touches on those Class of 2024 prospects while elevating the underclassmen to that next level.

With college camps starting at the end of the week, summer will only enhance what these players have shown over the past 20 practice days.

As we had the opportunity to travel around to see some quality prospects, there are a number of local players – Miami-Dade and Broward Counties who have jumped on the radar screen. Here are five of them:

2024 – Malik Clarke, DB, 6-0, 181, Miami Lakes Barbara Goleman. In a program that is looking for playmakers for the upcoming season, here is one of those quality football players who continues to improve and give the Gators an opportunity to reach the state playoffs this season. He is one of those leaders that a program like this needs. He makes plays and ignites the defense.

TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/17894942/Malik-Clarke

2025 – Anjuan “Ace” Coleman, WR, 5-1, 165, Miami Central. 3.5 GPA. On a team that is loaded in every direction, here is a junior that has turned heads this spring as we head toward the summer. Tremendous route runner who will surprise you with his skill level. Will truly emerge as a prospect that will help the powerhouse Rockets continue to improve this coming season.

TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/17633609/Anjuan-Coleman-Jr

2025 – Darius “Boobie” Johnson, WR, 5-11, 160, Miami Northwestern. There were a number of players who changed teams in the off season throughout the two counties, but when you add up everything that this young man brings to the table, here is definitely one of the most important prospects in south Florida. As the Bulls look to turn things around, this is someone who will be at the center of attention all summer.

TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/16850022/Darius-Johnson

2026 – Ronnie Jones, WR/SS, 6-1, 195, Miami Springs. One of the fastest-rising young talents in this region of the state, his ability to make plays on both sides of the ball has kept him in the spotlight with his size, skill level and athleticism to perform on both sides of the ball. Definitely was one of the players who caught the attention of college coaches who came through the summer – as well as his performance in the Golden Hawks’ spring game.

2024 – Robert Reddish, RB/CB, 5-11, 165, Somerset Silver Palms. Here is the perfect example of sitting at home watching film will never uncover a prospect like this. You can out all the athletes on all-star lists that you want, but unless you see what they do on the field and as leaders, your evaluation is hollow at best. Watching this playmaker perform and you will see why he made a major impact this spring. No matter where he lines up, he will make a difference with his speed, athletic ability and skill level. One of the players who will ignite the Stallions this coming season.

Harris Has Miami Northwestern On The Right Track

Can we be honest?

The job that Max Edwards did for Miami Northwestern was amazing. The Bulls won state titles and were recognized nationally as one of the premier programs in the country.

While many fans were bent on getting rid of Edwards – even when he was winning – it wore him down, although he will never admit it. It’s not acceptable to have non state championship seasons on 71st Street. That pressure has long been in place, and while the loyal and ardent supporters continue to want that bar as high as possible, the reality is this school is not the only powerhouse that south Florida and that state have.

But to be successful in the future, all that has to be behind this program and embrace the changes that were made. Changes that fans and boosters demanded. Edwards is now the Defensive Coordinator at Miami Booker T. Washington, and the Bulls have one of their own in place.

Last Saturday, Traz Powell Stadium – the “Mecca” that this program helped to create - was the perfect place to host a homecoming as former standout Michaelee Harris made his head coaching debut.

While his style of coaching is totally different than Edwards, the objective is the same, and nobody wants to turn this ship back around more than the one-time receiver standout.

Dressed in a jacket, long pants and a tie on a hot and humid morning, Harris was greeted by one of the most famous alumni, Teddy Bridgewater, and perhaps the next NFL star – Kamren Kinchens along with fans and supporters.

Bridgewater wears his emotions on his sleeve, and while he does so much for so many, he isn’t afraid to speak his mind about his alma mater that he has long carried the flag for. With pen and pad on hand, the collegiate and NFL standout wrote his notes on what he was watching and what he will share with Harris and his coaching staff.

“From now on, we are NOT Miami Northwestern,” he told his team after the intra-squad scrimmage ended. “When I was here, people knew us and respected us as the ‘West’ – and that is what we will work hard to get back to.”

What Saturday did was shine a spotlight on a team – mixed with youth and veterans, and while nobody is picking them to win a 2M state title, it would be hard to tell these young men and coaching staff who put in the work this spring that they won’t be in the mix.

Here is a look at some of the prospects the Bulls will have this summer – with perhaps more on the way:
