Miami-Dade, Broward 2026 Prospects Continue To Turn Heads

For the past eight months – since the 2023 season came to an end – we have been bringing you football prospects from Miami-Dade and Broward Counties for you to keep an eye on.

If you have followed us for any length of time, you already know that we don’t just concentrate on the star-rated athletes, but by attending games, practices, camps and several off-season events, we see more prospects live than any source.

While many rank and evaluate football players without ever seeing them play live and in person, which could go a long way in hurting the athlete more than help, we are fortunate to watch the prospect up close and have the chance to see what they do when the cameras are not on them.

With all that in mind – on this Friday – we bring you five players in the Class of 2026 that we have watched and continue to promote their grades and video for hundreds of colleges and universities to check them out.

R.J. Alphonse, DL, 6-3, 220, Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna. After making the move from Miami Lakes Barbara Goleman, this is certainly someone who will fit right in with the playmakers that the powerhouse Lions have. He comes off the edge quickly and his athleticism and skill level make him a force against the run as well as being able to chase down the quarterback. He is on the way to being very special.

Terrell Evans Jr., DE/TE, 6-4, 225, Hialeah. Of all the underclassmen we saw during the spring, here is one who certainly lives up to the hype as he continues to improve and mature as he becomes one of those gifted football prospects who is ready to have a breakout season for the district champion Thoroughbreds. Keep an eye on his progress because college coaches were impressed during the spring game in West Palm Beach.

Bryan Granger, OL, 6-3, 270, Pembroke Pines West Broward. Coming over from Chaminade-Madonna, keep an eye on this impressive talent. The Bobcats know that they have something very special up front and they will use his many talents this coming year. He is a hard worker and certainly become the leader up front for a team that won the district title in 2023.

TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/19070089/Bryan-Granger?

Elijah Hardy, Athlete, 6-0, 180, Miami Northwestern. While the Bulls certainly have some quality prospects on the team under first year head coach Teddy Bridgewater, here is one of the most versatile who can catch the ball as a receiver and run the ball out of the backfield – using his impressive speed and skill. This is a prospect who will help to make the Bulls a force this coming season. Do not let his size fool you!

TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/17877661/Elijah-Hardy

Jaborree Riggins, WR, 6-4, 190, Coconut Creek Monarch. The Knights really got something special when this talented football player made the move from Fort Lauderdale. He runs very good pass routes, has the size, quickness and athletic ability to be a major force this coming season as part of a receiving corps that is one of the best in south Florida. He will be fun to watch this coming season.

South Florida Seniors Are On The Clock

Ever since the end of the 2023 season when the Class of 2024 searched for a college to attend, that rising senior class was ready and waiting.

When it comes to talent in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, there is simply no other place in the country that has the depth – especially when it comes to Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

While there are still talented young men who are still looking from last year’s senior class, the next wave of talent has been committing to schools nearly every day and is solidly on the clock.

The Class of 2025 is ready to take the spotlight and make an impact this season. With so much to offer, there are always going to be those who are overlooked – with the transfer portal truly making a difference.

In Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, there are so many football players in the senior class that need the exposure, and today we bring you five Class of 2025 players to keep an eye on:

Brian Delrio, WR, 5-8, 160, Miami True North Classical Academy – 4.6 GPA. Here is someone who has truly made himself a player that colleges and universities will flock to. Not only does he get it done on the football field, but in the classroom as well. Finished off his junior season with 1,205 offensive yards and 12 touchdowns. He is very dangerous as a kick and punt returner, giving his team a huge spark.

Terrell Gordon, Jr., RB/CB, 5-10, 160, Miami Northwestern. Track & Field. Yet another two-way prospect who is equally as effective as a running back, where he hits the hole quick and uses his track speed to get into the secondary. Speaking of the secondary, his ability to cover and make huge plays is something that the Bulls will benefit from this coming season. He will certainly be huge for first year head coach Teddy Bridgewater and the Bulls.

TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/17765980/Terrell-Gordon-Jr

Opious Knox, Jr., CB/WR/QB, 5-11, 165, Fort Lauderdale Stranahan 3.0 GPA. After three seasons as a catalyst at Coral Springs, this impressive athlete brings his talent to play for first year head coach Jackie Candy and the Dragons. No matter where you put him, he will make an impact and will never complain about the role he plays. This is someone who will make a difference this coming season.

TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/19706500/Opious-Knox-jr

Ethan Lopez, RB, 5-10, 200, Miami Palmetto – 3.5 GPA. If this offense is going to be successful this coming season, they will need his experience and talent to get it done. While the Panthers may have lacked the balance on the offensive side of the ball in 2023, it appears that things will change for head coach Mike Manasco and this team. He has the size, speed and experience to give this team a boost as they have an eye on a first ever state championship appearance.

TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/16109620/Ethan-Lopez

Antrell McWhirter, SS/LB, 5-10, 175, Sunrise Piper. Whether on defense or on special teams, this Plantation transfer is going to be special – with the ability to lead and make plays. His play at linebacker affords him the opportunity to come up and play the run or drop back in coverage on passing downs. Programs are always looking for versatile playmakers who will do anything to help their team win.

Area Prospects Shine At UA Next Future 50

BRADENTON – With some of the best Class of 2026 junior football players in the country coming together last Friday and Saturday at IMG Academy, the nation knows who some young elite players will be to watch.

The annual Under Armour Next Future 50 taking place, the nation’s elite boys and girls football standouts got together for a weekend of expert skills training, skills competitions and an introduction to flag football that included a five-on-five tournament.

Launched in 2015, the UA Next Future 50, for the first time, hosted the nation’s elite high school girls and boys for a joint weekend of skill development and exposure to the growing sport of flag football, with the support of USA Football.

SOUTH FLORIDA WAS WELL REPRESENTED

Three of the top 2026 prospects had the opportunity to jump on the radar and further showcase their skills in front of coaches, media and fan recruiting websites.

Quarterback Dia Bell from Plantation American Heritage showed why he recently committed to attend the University of Texas – as he was one of the top prospects.

Chaminade-Madonna receiver Denairius Gray was someone that many had never watched play, but after the two-day event had concluded, he was certainly well on the national radar.

When the off-season began, Derek Cooper was someone that nobody knew anything about. Used sparingly as a running back and linebacker at Cardinal Gibbons, the 6-0, 200-pounder burst onto the scene at the Under Armour combine in Miami during the competition.

From a prospect that was basically unknown, that three-hour event vaulted him from obscurity to one of the elite 2026 prospects and he has not stopped watching his stock rise.

Over the weekend, the now Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna prospect was introduced he was named as the Boys Flag Tournament.

“All three players who came up from south Florida impressed,” said 247 National Analyst Andrew Ivins. “I thought Bell was one of the best during the competition. Gray has really established himself as one of the best. As for Cooper, his stock has been rising all off-season. He is playing running back, but I see him as a linebacker or safety down the road.”

The players had a meeting with the media before participating in their first set of flag football competitions. Then on Saturday morning, the athletes were back on the field for positions specific drill work and instruction. The event culminated on Saturday night with semifinal and championship games of the flag football tournament.

The results of the flag football tournament are below, followed by the winners and award winners from the weekend:

Miami-Dade/Broward 2025 Prospects Still Under The Radar

In our many travels throughout south Florida and the state, we come across so many area prospects who are not receiving the attention they deserve

While we fully understand that there are so many gifted seniors that continue to put their best foot forward, we are in different times when it comes to recruiting.

No longer can the student/athletes play the waiting game when it comes to making a decision. There is a need – especially with the portal – to make sure you ate least commit to a school so you will have a place to go.

Remember, this portal works both ways, and while you can start out at a school, you don’t have to stay there if you can advance yourself.

As we do throughout the course of the year, and everyone understands that we promote and evaluate players we see perform – and there are few – of any who can honestly make that claim.

Today, we bring you five more prospects who are still very much in play as they head toward their final season in high school.

Jesse Hinojosa, DL, 6-0, 255, Miami Archbishop Carroll. For a program that came within one game of reach the 1M state playoffs a year ago, here is a true catalyst for head coach Jorge Zagales and the Bulldogs. A steady force up front who continues to get better and work hard in the off-season.

TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/16522046/Jesse-Hinojosa

Timothy Munroe, TE, 6-3, 205, Plantation – 3.6 GPA. Another of the 2025 prospects who is under the radar for first year head coach Darell Strong and the Colonels. Gets off the line of scrimmage quickly as he does have receiver skills. Knows how to get open and is a physical type of player who is not afraid to stick his nose into the defense and block. Someone that coaches need to continue to watch.

TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/18470820/Timothy-Munroe

James Orange, DB, 6-0, 165, Miami Palmetto – 3.10 GPA. When it comes to defensive backs, you already know that head coach Mike Manasco and his staff are always ready to make an impact in the secondary, and this is a perfect example of a football talent who not only covers well, but also will come up and make some key hits. Will be a major force if the Panthers advance to the state finals this coming season.

TAPE:https://www.hudl.com/profile/16099798/James-Orange

Martin Rhyne, LB, 6-2, 215, Davie Western. Another one of those impressive talents who started out a St. Thomas Aquinas, but has more than fit in with the Wildcats and head coach Adam Ratkevich. Not only does he play the run very well, but will drop and cover the pass and make things happen up field. Also showed that he can play on special teams as well.

TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/16745581/Martin-Rhyne

Kahleel Warthen, OL, 6-3, 250, Miramar – 3.6 GPA. If you are looking for a difference maker this season for the Patriots and head coach A.J. Scott, this Calvary Christian transfer has everything you are looking for – from the football field to the classroom. Football is in his blood, and this could be one of the major players for the 2024 season that very few little about.
